Sara L. Goff, 87, of Columbia, passed away on October 10, 2022. A Service of Remembrance will be held on Monday, October 17, 2022, at 11:30 a.m. at the State Full Gospel Church, 200 State Pond Rd, Gaston, SC, 29053 with interment to following the church cemetery. Rev. Johnny Crosland will be officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:30 prior at the church. Sara was born on April 18, 1935, in Columbia, SC, to the late Manis Lee and Jessie Name Watts. She was widowed by Rev. Dallas Goff after 66 years of marriage. Striving to touch as many lives as they could through the Word of God, Sara and her husband were instrumental in the beginning and further growth of the State Full Gospel Church. Sara faithfully assisted as the Music Minister and church secretary until her husband’s passing, at which time she was called to serve as the Minister of the Church. Sara also worked as an Interior Designer for many years, having been based out of Ace Blind and Shade Company. Always ready to help others, Sara will be fondly remembered as a wonderful and doting wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother by her loving family. Sara’s surviving family includes her daughter: Deborah Schuler, of Columbia; her sister: Norma Hambrick; and her brother: Buddy Watts (Linda). In addition to her parents and husband, Sara was also predeceased by her daughter: Angela Shealy; her sons: William “Speedy” Goff and DuWayne “Doobie” Goff; and two sisters: Ruby and Murlene.
