LEXINGTON— Rebecca “Becki” Elizabeth Godshall passed away in peace at 80 years of age on Saturday, November 8, 2014.She was preceded in death by her father, Dr. Heeland Webb Godshall; her mother, Martha Thompson Hollingsworth Godshall of Columbia; and her daughter, Leslie “Bambi” Rebecca Freeman of Hillsborough, North Carolina.She is survived by her daughters, Bridget Marlisa Godshall of Pelham, North Carolina; Brooke Elizabeth Bailey of Lexington; and Mallory Rebecca Overton McKendry of Seattle, Washington; sons, Bradley James Bailey of Las Vegas, Nevada; and William Brickland Bailey of Lexington; sister, Jeanne Morris of Columbia; brother, Bill Godshall of Lexington.She is further survived by grandchildren, Ashleigh Elizabeth Freeman, Morgan Brianne Freeman, Grant Hyler and Destiny Kennedy-Bailey and great-grandchildren Ramon Michael Olmos and Michael Jovani Olmos. Ms. Godshall was a member of St. Mary’s Episcopal Church for many years and enjoyed attending their services.She was also a talented singer and actress, hosting a radio show and recording radio and television jingles in Columbia in her youth and later starring in many leading roles with ShenanArts in Virginia.She graduated from Columbia High School and received a music scholarship to Columbia College.Ms. Godshall eventually became an alcoholism counselor and later had a career as an investigator for Child Protective Services in Virginia. Funeral services for Ms. Godshall will be held at 3:30 pm., Friday, November 14, 2014 at Temples-Halloran Funeral Home Chapel, 5400 Bush River Road, Columbia, SC 29212.Reverend Philip Webster of St. Mary’s Episcopal Church will officiate.Visitation will be from 2:30-3:30 pm.Entombment will follow in Bush River Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.
