COLUMBIA—Funeral services for Marjorie “Margie” H. Eleazer, 90, of Columbia, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 25, 2017 at Main Street United Methodist Church, 1830 Main Street, Columbia, SC 29201 with burial following in Elmwood Cemetery, 501 Elmwood Ave., Columbia, SC 29201.The Reverend Dr. Robert Walker will officiate. The family will greet friends from 6-8 p.m. Monday, April 24, 2017 at Temples Halloran Funeral Home, 5400 Bush River Road, Columbia, SC 29212. Mrs. Eleazer passed away on Saturday, April 22, 2017.Born in Columbia she was the daughter of the late John James Hair and Jane Clary Hair.She was a member of Main Street United Methodist Church where she was a member of the Susanna Wesley Sunday School Class.Margie loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and she was an avid Bridge player. She was a graduate of Dreher High School and a 1946 graduate of University of South Carolina. In 1947 she married the love of her life, Herman Eleazer.She worked for Richland County Court and Judicial System for over 30 years,where she worked for Judge John B. Grimball and later Judge Owens T. Cobb, Jr. as a legal secretary. Surviving are her daughter, Julie Haltiwanger (Donald) of Chapin; son, Tom Eleazer (David Renshaw) of Tampa, FL; three grandchildren, Forrest T. Eleazer (Turner), Adam Haltiwanger and Clary Haltiwanger; two great-grandchildren, Louise Eleazer and Hunter Eleazer.Preceded in death is her husband of 35 years, Herman Eleazer; two sisters, Ruby Lee Gilbert and Frances Davis; brother, John James Hair, Jr. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Main Street United Methodist Church, 1830 Main Street, Columbia, SC 29201 or Regency Hospice, 140 Stoneridge Drive, Suite 130, Columbia, SC 29210.
