Mallory Mccants Gibson

Mallory McCants Gibson (37), of Chapin, SC passed away Sunday January 15, 2023. Mallory was born in Columbia, SC on April 27, 1985, and was the daughter of Daniel P. McCants and Maggie Shaw (Bo). She is survived by her father and mother, her husband Charlie Gibson, and children Griffin, Cohen, Cayden, Banks, Keller, and Wells. She is also survived by her sisters Meredith Dieppe (Bubba), and Lindsay Smith (Matt), her grandparents Harold and Myrt Minter, her 4 nieces and 3 nephews, and many friends and family members that loved Mallory dearly. Mallory is preceded in death by her grandparents Percy and Adma McCants. Mallory attended Irmo High School in Irmo, SC. She made her career working off and on in healthcare, but had the privilege of being a stay at home mom, as well. Mallory was confident in the fact that her greatest accomplishment in life was her children. She devoted nearly every weekend and many nights traveling to soccer games and attending various other children's activities. Mallory was a beautiful person inside and out. Her smile was infectious, and her laugh was contagious. She was the life of the party, and you could always count on her quick wit, and humor. She found something funny in every situation or circumstance. The family will receive friends and loved ones at Temples-Halloran Funeral Home on Saturday, January 28, 2023 at 1:00 pm. A memorial service will immediately follow the visitation at 2:00 pm. The Reverend Tony Biles will officiate the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be sent to St. Jude Children’s Hospital in remembrance of Mallory, or donations can be made to a fund to be established for her children's education.
