David L. Dale

A Service of Remembrance for David L. Dale, 71, of Prosperity, will be held on Saturday, September 3, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Temples Halloran Funeral Home located at 5400 Bush River Road, Columbia, SC, 29212. Mrs. Christy Todd will be officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. prior to the service. David was born to the late William E. and Ruth Dale on November 9, 1950, in Bristol, Virginia. He graduated from Virginia Tech with a degree in Civil Engineering and worked for the Norfolk-Southern Railroad for 37 years. David enjoyed watching his grandchildren and relocated to Prosperity, SC in 2011 to be closer to them. He also loved to fish, hunt, and play golf. David is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Aloris Dale; his son, David Dale, Jr. (Heather); sister, Janis Wertz (Jerry); brothers, William Dale (Tacey) and Michael Dale (Malynn); and his beloved grandchildren, Emily and Spencer Dale. In lieu of flowers, the Dale family requests that donations be made in David’s memory to either the Ronald McDonald House Charity, 81 Gadsden St, Charleston, SC 29401, or the Leukemia Research Foundation, 191 Waukegan Road, Suite 105, Northfield, Il, 60093.
