Bailey Marie Reedy, Patti Reedy Parker’s 5 year old, daughter, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, Jan 3rd, 2015.Her sudden passing was a shock and a devastating loss, not only to Patti but also to her grandmother Joan, her aunts, uncles and cousins, and the many other lives she touched by living her joy filled life. Patti first met Bailey at 7 months old while volunteering at Hannah House, a shelter for women and children. Their connection was immediate and when Bailey came to live with Patti in early 2013. Both their lives changed forever. She grew from a pale and silent, fragile child into a vibrant, thriving, glowing and loving young girl. Bailey was enchanting and no one who met her failed to fall immediately for her charm and charisma. Bailey was born with a genetic metabolic disorder, which took her life much too soon for any of us left behind. We will never know or understand why her stay with us was so brief. We can only cherish each and every memory, moment, kiss, hug, joke and the ethereal beauty and joy that made Bailey so very unique and special. We know she is in heaven with other loved ones, but the terrible grief of missing her will take its toll here. She was Patti’s angel on earth. In lieu of flowers, Patti would prefer anonymous donations to Hannah House, the place where God brought them together, with no mention of Bailey’s name please. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, January 8, 2015 at Temples Halloran Funeral Home Chapel, 5400 Bush River Road, Columbia, SC 29212. In lieu of flowers, Patti would prefer anonymous donation to Hannah House, 1726 Sumter Street, Columbia, SC 29201, the place were God brought them together.(With no mention of Bailey’s name.)
