COLUMBIA—Funeral services for William O. Gatch, 86 of Columbia, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, November 20, 2015 at Grace United Methodist Church, 410 Harbison Blvd., Columbia, SC 29212, with military honor. The Reverend Susan Ulmer will officiate.Burial will be private. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Thursday, November 19, 2015 at Temples Halloran Funeral Home, 5400 Bush River Road, Columbia, SC 29212. Memorials may be made to Grace United Methodist Church, 410 Harbison Blvd., Columbia, SC 29212. Born in Walterboro, he was the son of the late Edward Lamar Gatch andPearl Beach Gatch. He grew up in Walterboro moving to Columbia in 1984 and was a member of Grace United Methodist Church. He proudly served in the U. S. Army during WWII and the Korean War.He worked for the Federal Government retiring after 37 years as a sheet metal designer. Surviving are his daughter Monica Lewis (James) of Chapin and his son, Steven Gatch of Columbia; two grandchildren, James F. Lewis, Jr (Dorothy) and their children, Edwinia & James F. Lewis III and Stephen T. Lewis (Traci) and their children, Sarah, Grace, Cyrus & Lore Mae.He was preceded in death by his wife, Lore Haas Gatch of 60 years.
