COLUMBIA—A Mass of Catholic Burial for William Coracy, 89, of Columbia, will be held at10:30 a.m. Wednesday, August 3, 2016 at Our Lady of the Hills Catholic Church, 120 Marydale Lane, Columbia, SC 29210, Father John Murray will be officiating.The Rosary will begin at 9:30 a.m. followed by a visitation in the church sanctuary.Inurnment will occur at a later time in Bush River Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. Mr. Coracy passed away on Sunday, July, 31, 2016.Born in Detroit, Michigan, William was the son of the late Dominick Coraci and Pauline Bonanno Coraci. He was a Veteran of the United States Army, during WWII. He and his wife, Anna were active members of Our Lady of Hills Catholic Church for over 15 years.He was co-owner of B & A Travel Service that was established over 50 years ago in Carbondale, Illinois and is still in business today. William and Anna traveled extensively throughout the world during their years in business. He was a member of the Rotary International and the Knights of Columbus. Surviving are his daughter, Kathleen Carlock of Irmo; sons, David Coracy (Helen) of Carbondale, Il, William Coracy (LuAnne) of Chapin, SC, Michael Coracy (Laura) of Collinsville, IL and Scott Coracy of Waxhaw, NC; ten grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Those who preceded him in death are his loving wife of 62 years, Anna Coracy; son-in-law, Richard Carlock and daughter-in-law, Andree Coracy. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Our Lady of the Hill Catholic Church Bell Fund, 120 Marydale Lane, Columbia, SC 29210.
