William "Bill" Edward Barrus

IRMO—Funeral service for William “ Bill” Edward Barrus, 79, of Irmo will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 31, 2019, at Temples Halloran Funeral Home Chapel, 5400 Bush River Road, Columbia, SC 29212, Pastor Ron Rhodes will officiate. Burial will be held at 4 p.m. in Rudd Branch Cemetery, 1469 Lebanon Road, Ridgeville, SC 29472.The family will greet friends from 10-11 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Mr. Barrus passed away on Monday, May 27, 2019.Born in San Diego, CA, he was the son of the late Mr. & Mrs. Edward Barrus. Bill proudly served in the United States Air Force as a Master Sergeant for over 20 years and 5 days and worked for Blanchard Machinery formerly known as Jeff Hunt Machinery for 32 years. He attended the Irmo FamilyWorship Center,formerly a member of New Life Baptist Church. Surviving are his sons, Brian Edward Barrus of Irmo and David Edward Barrus (Emily) of Cameron; grandson, Fuller William Barrus of Cameron; brother, David E. Barrus (Janie) of Alpine CA; step-mother, Mary Belle Barrus.He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 48 years, Shirley Ann Moore Barrus and daughter, Heather Ann Barrus.
