Walter Edward "Wally" Paulauskas

Walter “Wally” E. Paulauskas, 75, of Columbia, SC, entered into his eternal rest on March 3, 2024. Born to the late Walter and Ruth Paulauskas in Cleveland, OH, on October 7, 1948, Wally proudly served his country in the United States Army Quartermaster Corps. Known for his love of coffee and fondness of riddles, Wally was also strong and fiercely independent. He loved his six children deeply, tirelessly working multiple jobs to provide for them. Wally is survived by his children, Lana Joy Schumann (David) and Lisa Paulauskas, and his sons, Robert Paulauskas, Lance Paulauskas (Lena), Jason Paulauskas (Caitlin), and Charles Paulauskas (Stacy); thirteen grandchildren; and sister, Diane Rogers (Pat). Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Michael, and sister, Cathy. The graveside service for Wally Paulauskas, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 14, 2024, at Fort Jackson National Cemetery. Rev. Bill Haselden of Riverland Hills Baptist Church will officiate. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Riverland Hills Baptist Church Senior’s Ministry.
