Virdie H. Dally

IRMO—Funeral services for Virdie H. Dally, 90, of Irmo will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, February 10, 2018 at the Chapel of Temples Halloran Funeral Home, 5400 Bush River Road, Columbia, SC 29212, Reverend Dr. Mark Bredholt will officiate.Burial will follow in Bush River Memorial Gardens. The family will greet friends from 12-1:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Virdie beloved wife of the late George Neal Dally, passed away on Thursday, February 1, 2018. Born in McDowell, Kentucky on December 12, 1927 to the late Wayne Howell and Nancie Osborne Howell.She lived in Indiana and Idaho before moving to Spartanburg. Virdie was a member of the Seven Oaks Recreation Center. She enjoyed her farm where she and her husband raisedsheep, goats, cattle and chickens in Spartanburg, she also enjoyed quilting. Virdieand George, played music together, rode motorcycles and loved to do gem mining. Surviving are her daughter Cleda Boone of Irmo; son, Rod Newsome (Pam) of Spartanburg; sister, Rebecca Beachy, Blanchester, Ohio; four grandchildren, Gary Boone, Jason Martin, Traci Jumper and Jeff Martin; five great-grandchildren, Emily Martin, Chasity Martin, Christopher Boone and Alex Boone. She was preceded in death by her husband of 17 years, George N. Dally; one great-grandchild, James Martin; and ten brothers and sisters.
