Tamara "Tammy" Lee Rankin

Tamara (Tammy) Lee Rankin passed away peacefully on Monday evening, November 12, 2018, in Columbia, South Carolina at the age of 37. Tammy is survived by her son, Zachary Rankin; parents, Robin and Brenda Rankin; sister, Charity Sox; grandparents, Charles Rankin, Tom and Mary Sutphin; six loving aunts and uncles and several cousins. Tammy was born on February 8, 1981 in Stuttgart, Germany to Robin and Brenda Rankin. She was the second of two beautiful daughters who brought immense love and joy into her home. Tammy was a strong force of nature, a person who faced each of life’s challenges with dogged determination and a fighting spirit.She loved her family and was fiercely devoted to her son, Zachary. While Tammy endured many physical challenges in her life, she never sought sympathy for herself or asked for special favor.She lived a life of dignity, strength and indomitable courage until the day of her passing.Tammy came to a saving knowledge of Christ as a child.And now, she suffers no more, as she is healed and whole in the presence of her Lord and Savior. Dr. Robert Winburn will conduct the Funeral Service on Friday, November 16, 2018 at 11:00 am until 11:45 am, at the Temples Halloran Funeral Home, 5400 Bush River Road, Columbia, SC 29212.Interment will take place in the Bush River Memorial Gardens immediately after the service. The family will receive guests at 10:00 am until 10:50 am with light refreshments served.
