COLUMBIA—A graveside service for Susan E. “Sue” Morris, 66, of Columbia, will be held at 11: 00 a.m. Saturday, July 29, 2017 in Bush River Memorial Gardens, 5400 Bush River Road, Columbia, SC 29212.The family will receive friends following the service at Temples Halloran Funeral Home. Sue Morris passed away on Tuesday, July 25, 2017.Born in Elmhurst, IL to the late James Warren Emens and Mary Anne Watson Emens. She formerly attended USC and later was a graduate of Columbia College in 1988.Sue was employed by V.C. Summer Nuclear Station for over 44 years as a Senior Analyst.Susan loved family and friends,crafts, flowers, the beach, and spending time with her grandchildren. Surviving are daughters, Mary Shannon of Cameron and Katie Atkins (Chris) of Irmo; sister, Patricia “Pat” E. Anderson (Jon) of Jackson, MS; brother, James “Jim” R. Emens (Donna) of Columbia; four grandchildren, Kristen Shannon, Kaylee Shannon and Austin Atkins, Tristin Atkins; several nieces and nephews; her 4 legged children, Peanut and Ellie Mae. She was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Rusty Shannon. A special thank you to the staff at 11 East at Palmetto Health Richland and SCOA.
