Steven Latrell McAlister died unexpectedly on May 27, 2022, at his home in West Columbia, South Carolina. He was born in Atlanta, Georgia April 15, 1979, to Annie Reid and Steve McAlister. A Celebration ofLife will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 2, 2022, in the Chapel of Temples Halloran Funeral Home, 5400 Bush River Road, Columbia, SC 29212. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the chapel of the funeral home. Family and close friends will gather for food and fellowship after the service to honor Steven Latrell, Celebration of Life Reception The River Road and Jasmin House 2208 North Lake Drive Columbia, SC An MBA graduate of the University of South Carolina Darla Moore School of Business, Steven Latrell worked for Charter Communications for the last 19 years, where he trained thousands of employees across the country. His infectious personality and charming communication skills are often attributed to his success as a corporate trainer in the broadband communications industry. Steven Latrell loved to travel and explore new places, cultures, and cuisine. A movie and music buff at heart, with a passionate love for fashion and dance. Steven Latrell is survived by his husband, Douglas OFlaherty, 52; mother, Annie, of Lexington, S.C.; father, Steve, of Atlanta, GA.; sister, Keena Ahmed (Tav) of Lexington, S.C.; brother, Keith McAlister (Christine) of Florence, S.C.; nieces, nephews; aunts and uncles; and his loyal Yorkie, Sasha. The family has asked that those attending services for Steven Latrell wear their favorite fun and colorful attire. We are all greater than our imperfections.
