Stephen C. Schwenker

Stephen C. Schwenker, 65, passed away on March 20th, 2021.Born in Schenectady, NY, he spent the majority of his life in Columbia, SC.He is survived by his wife Christine C. Schwenker (estranged), his son Daniel D. Schwenker, his sisters Theresa M. Gresham and Susan M. Brannen, his dog Mia, and numerous other loving relatives and friends. Kind and strong, he battled his cancer with courage and optimism and maintained his sense of humor until the day of his defeat. Generous with his time and his heart, he was devoted to both his first family and his AA family who were instrumental in him achieving and maintaining his sobriety.While he did the work, we will be forever indebted to for their love, friendship, and support for Steve, and more recently for us as well. Visitation with the family and the opportunity to share memories will be Thursday, March 25, 2021, from 4:00 to 6:00 PM in the Bush River Memorial Gardens Mausoleum Chapel across from Temples-Halloran Funeral Home.Masks and social distancing will be required. In lieu of flowers, donations to Stepping Stones Ministries (803-386-8077), 2123 Bull St., Columbia, SC 29201 would be appreciated.
