IRMO—Funeral services for Shirley Ann Moore Barrus, 66, of Irmo, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, September 15, 2014 at Temples Halloran Funeral Home Chapel, 5400 Bush River Road, Columbia, SC 29212.Reverend John Hamilton and Reverend Michael Blankenship will officiate.Burial will be held at 4:00 p.m. in Rudd Branch Cemetery, Ridgeville, SC.The family will greet friends from 10-11 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Mrs. Barrus beloved wife for 48 years to William Edward Barrus passed away on Thursday, September 11, 2014.Born in Charleston, SC she was a daughter of Lila Mae Varner Moore and the late Elgie Mack Moore.She was a life time area resident and a member of New Life Baptist Church.She received her nursing degree in Del Rio, TX; she was a pediatric nurse for more than 20 years, working in Beaufort, Summerville and Columbia. She had love and compassion for all living things. Surviving in addition to her husband and mother; son, David Edward Barrus (Emily) of Cameron and Brian Edward Barrus of Columbia; grandson, Fuller William Barrus; sister, Patty Williams (Howard) of Johns Island; brother, Larry Mack Moore of Summerville.
