Shielda Duvall Friendly

COLUMBIA—Shielda Duvall Friendly, 75, of Columbia, died February 18, 2015 at Agape Hospice Home. Born in Lexington, SC, she was the daughter of Carl Preston Duvall and Hazel Eloise Lynch Duvall. Mrs. Friendly’s career at the South Carolina Department of Mental Health spanned 25 years where she retired as the Director of Long Term Nursing Care Services. An entombment was held on Saturday, February 21, 2015 in Bush River Memorial Gardens Mausoleum Chapel.Temples Halloran Funeral Home is serving the Friendly Family. Memorials can be made to Midlands Hospice House, 141 Stoneridge Drive, Columbia, SC 29210. Surviving include, her husband of 49 years, Robert Friendly; son, Mark Friendly and his wife, Laura of Columbia; four grandchildren and a number of nephews; sister, Veda Gordon and her husband, Thomas of Atlanta, GA; brother, Pat Duvall of Cayce.Those who preceded her in death were a son, Larry Friendly.
