Sharon Faye Rinehart Toomey

COLUMBIA – The funeral service for Sharon Faye Rinehart Toomey, 76, of Columbia, will beheld at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 5, 2019, at Temples Halloran Funeral Home Chapel, 5400 Bush River Road, Columbia, SC29212.The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service in the chapel. Faye was born in Columbia, SC, on July 16, 1943, to the late Grady and Nola Rinehart.She graduated from Eau Claire High School in 1961.After graduation, Faye worked as a legal secretary for attorneys Thomas Mann, Lewis Cromer, and Herbert Louthian.Later, Faye went into banking and retired from Wachovia Bank after manyyears of service.She was a member of College Place United Methodist Church and the Frances Irby Circle Group.Faye was a loving wife, mother,grandmother, great-grandmother and sister. Surviving are her loving husband of 55 years, Alan R. Toomey; and daughter, Sharon Toomey Gilbert (Larry).Faye was the loving “Memom” of Kennedy and Morgan Passman, Megan Antolin (Arjel), Spencer Passman (Brittany), Nathan Gilbert (Abbie), Ross Gilbert, and Ally Gilbert.Her great-grandchildren are Alexis and Aiden Antolin, and two expected great-grandsons, Emmett Passman due December 27, 2019, and Watson Gilbert due February 5, 2020.Faye is also survived by her sister, Joyce Lundy; and brother, Nelson Rinehart (Barbara).
