Sarah Elizabeth Ruff

A funeral service is planned for Sarah Elizabeth Ruff on Wednesday, October 4, 2023, at Bush River Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. The service will begin at 11:00 a.m. with visitation from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. The Reverend Glenn Day will be officiating. Sarah, the daughter of the late Ernest Wicker and the late Ola Graham Wicker, and the widow of James Edward Ruff, passed away on Wednesday, September 27, 2023. She was born in Newberry, South Carolina on February 19, 1932. Sarah retired from South Carolina National Bank. She loved gardening and she loved Men’s and Women’s Gamecock Basketball. Sarah was a member of White Rock Baptist Church. She was a loving mother and grandmother. Sarah is survived by her daughter, Linda Cranford (Jerry); and her son, Wade E. Ruff (Kathy); and her grandchildren, Ryan Kinard (Lexi) and Tyler Cranford (Gabby); and a great grandchild, Poppy. She is also survived by her sister, Sunie Mills, and her brother, James Wicker. Besides her husband of 50 years, Sarah is predeceased by her siblings, Herman, Richard, Robert, Marion, and Mable.
