Jenkinsville—Funeral services for Samuel H. Clements IV, 80, of Jenkinsville, will be held at 3:00 p.m. Friday, February 10, 2017 at Temples Halloran Funeral Home, 5400 Bush River Road, Columbia, SC 29212 with Reverend Malcolm J. Skipper officiating. Inurnment will follow in Bush River Memorial Gardens.The family will greet friends from 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home prior to the service. Mr. Clements beloved husband of Joyce Marie Jennings Clements, passed away on Thursday, February 2, 2017.He was born in Albany, NY to the late Samuel H. Clements, Jr. and Florence B. Mullis Clements.He was a member of Our Lady of Lake Catholic Church and was a member of the Men’s Club.Mr. Clements retired with 40 years of service from General Electric (Phillips Components). An avid Clemson fan, he spent his retired years enjoying his home on “Hope’s Hill”, rooting for his Tigers, and teasing his Gamecock fans!A skilled craftsman, he taught himself how to turn pens and created many beautifully crafted pens for family and friends. Humble and kind, Mr. Clements was the foundation for his large and beautiful family. Fiercely loyal to his friends and neighbors, he was the un-official block party coordinator and will be greatly missed for his humor. Surviving in addition to his wife of 56 years, Joyce Clements of Jenkinsville; daughter, Theresa Clements of Jenkinsville; sons, Samuel H. Clements V and his wife, Julie of Easley, Steven J. Clements and his wife, Luanne of Irmo and Daniel F. Clements and his wife, Susan of Little Mountain, SC; grandchildren, Brittney Fulmer (Josh), Morgan Bozymowski (Johnny), Camryn Clements, Louis Clements, Samantha Clements (Jay), Stephanie Clements, Weston Clements and Emma Clements; great-grandson, Anthony Bozymowski; sister, Arlene Clements of Albany, NY; brothers, Richard Clements (Ruth) of Troy, NY and Jerry Clements (Joanne) of Saratoga, NY. He was predeceased by sister, Kathleen Clements Mooney and his beloved pet, Babe. The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude for the wonderful care provided by the staff and doctors of Tanglewood Nursing Facility and Pruitt Hospice Care.
