Russell D. Young

The funeral service for Russell Dean Young, 62, of Columbia, South Carolina, will be held on Thursday, June 1, 2023, at 10:00 a.m., in the Chapel of Temples-Halloran Funeral Home, 5400 Bush River Road, Columbia, South Carolina 29212. The Reverend Dr. Ronald “Dee” Vaughn of St. Andrews Baptist Church will be officiating. Inurnment will follow at Bush River Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends following the service at the cemetery. Mr. Young was born in Winnsboro, SC, on September 15, 1960, and departed this earthly life on May 19, 2023. He was the son of Jewel B. Young and the late Tommy R. Young. Russell was a member of St. Andrews Baptist Church and attended Irmo High School. Survivors include his mother, Jewel B. Young, of the home, and his sister, Cindy R. Young. He was preceded in death by his father, Tommy R. Young.
