Russell G. Elwood

It is with a heavy hearts, Russell G. Elwood, passed away on April 12, 2025, with his family by his side. Russ was born August 24, 1942 in Sidney, NY to Robert and Hazel (Wilcox) Elwood.

Russ was married to his soulmate, Gail (Witter) for 62 and half years. He is survived by his daughter Robin (Laurie), son Roger (Melinda). Grandsons, Ethan (Brittany), Cole and Reese. Great grandchildren, Mayella and Milo. His sister Susan(David) Calhuff, sister-in-law, Margaret Elwood, sister-in-law Carol (Robert) Thompson, brother-in-law Thomas (Susan) Witter, sister-in-law Anita Randolph. As well as many nieces and nephews. Russ was pre-deceased by his mother, father and brother Charles.

Russ was a devoted family man. He was happiest when he was with his family. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved sitting on his deck watching nature and the beautiful sunsets.

A celebration of life will be held in New York at a later date.
