COLUMBIA—A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Rose Ann J. Gallagher, 85, of Columbia, at 10:00 a.m. Monday, April 13, 2015 at Our Lady of the Hills Catholic Church, 120 Marydale Lane, Columbia, SC 29210.Father David Whitman will officiate. Burial will follow at 11:45 a.m. in Ft. Jackson National Cemetery, 4170 Percival Road, Columbia, SC 29229.The family will have Rosary at 6:00 p.m. Sunday, April 12, 2015 at Temples Halloran Funeral Home, 5400 Bush River Road, Columbia, SC 29212 followed by visitation until 8:00 p.m. Surviving in addition to her husband of 65 years, Dick Gallagher of Columbia; daughter, Robin Ann Lesher and husband, Kevin of Columbia; son, Richard C. “Rick” Gallagher and wife, Peggy of Summerville; grandchildren, Drake Lesher and Casey Gallagher; and the family dog, Kimmey. Mrs. Gallagher, beloved wife of Richard C. “Dick” Gallagher, passed away on Thursday, April 9, 2015.Born in Buffalo, NY, she was the daughter of the late Charles L. Muscoreil and Sara E. Malla Muscoreil.She was a graduated of Grover Cleveland High School, Class of 1947 and attended State University of New York at Buffalo.Rose Ann was a longtime member of Our Lady of the Hills Catholic Church.She was employed by Western Electric in Buffalo New York for 14 years, became a mother raising her two children then returned to work at Bank of America for 12 years as a teller after her children where grown. Rose Ann was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Rose Ann lived a full and active life as long as she was physically able.She enjoyed travelling with her family during summer vacations.She and Dick took her children to Hawaii, Disneyland, and Disney World.These were among the many places the family visited.Once her grandchildren were old enough, she and Dick visited Disney World with them as well as the yearly trip to Hilton Head Island.Rose Ann was also known for her hospitality.Everyone was always welcome at the house and she was able to cook a great meal at a moment’s notice. Sunday dinner was also special for Rose Ann; she always prepared plenty of food just in case some stopped by for a visit. Another favorite activity of Rose Ann’s was playing cards, bridge and pinochle were favorites. The family wishes express their sincere gratitude to her caregivers at the Bryan Center. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to Sinbad-Sadie Second Chance Rescue is a 501c3 organization dedicated to rescuing dogs and cats are risk of euthanasia in South Carolina shelters.Donations in memory of a loved one’s name may be made via our website ( www.sinbadsadierescue.org)or viamail checks to Sinbad-Sadie Rescue, 108 Sugar Mill Court, Summerville, SC 29485
