Rosa M. Barrett

West Columbia—Rosa Josephine Moseley Barrett, 88, of West Columbia, passed away on Tuesday, July 17, 2018 at Rice Estate.She was born March 11, 1930 in Aiken, SC, the sixth of seven children of Fred Harley and Marie Emeneker Moseley. She graduated from Aiken High School in 1947 and later attended business school in Columbia, SC. She married Lewis H. Barrett of Chapin, SC on March 18, 1951 and they lived their entire married life in Columbia. Mrs. Barrett retired from the SC Department of Revenue.She and Lewis traveled some (including trips to Hawaii and Israel) during their retirement. Rosa and Lewis had been married for forty-eight years when Lewis passed away in 1999.Mrs. Barrett was married to Jacob E. Rauch from 2004 until he passed away in 2008. Mrs. Barrett is survived by her children, Sharon Lynn Barrett Wilson (husband, Terry) and Stephen Lewis Barrett (wife, BettyAnn); grandchildren, Christopher Barrett (wife, Carrie), Ben Wilson, Barry Wilson, Sophie-Grace Barrett, and Jordan Byrne;great-grandchildren, David, Luke, Joey, and Lilly Barrett.She is also survived by her sister, Katrina Deloach of Graniteville, SC as well as many nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Rosa will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, July 20, 2018 at St. Andrews Lutheran Church, 1416 Broad River Road, Columbia, SC 29210.Burial will follow in Bush River Memorial Gardens, 5400 BushRiver Road, Columbia, SC 29212.The family will greet friends from 10 -11:00 am prior to the service at the church.Temples Halloran Funeral Home is assisting the family.
