COLUMBIA—A graveside service for Ronald F. “Ronnie” McCauley, 63, of Columbia, will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, November 16, 2017 in Bush River Memorial Gardens, 5400 Bush River Road, Columbia, SC 29212. The family will greet friends from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Thursday prior to the service at Temples Halloran Funeral Home. Ronnie, beloved husband of Karen Elliott McCauley, passed away on Monday, November 13, 2017.He was born in Bennettsville, SC and was the son of Lessie Jordan McCauley and the late Robert Francis McCauley.He grew up in Bennettsville before moving to Columbia. He proudly served in the US Air Force.Ronald retired after 28 years of devoted service with SCE&G at the Jenkinsville Nuclear Station. He didn’t mind giving his opinion, but always backed it up with good advice. Ronnie loved his family. Survived by his wife of 37 years, Karen E. McCauley and his mother, Lessie J. McCauley; son, Matt McCauley of Columbia; sisters, Joyce M. Hamer of Clio, JoAnn Clark (Danny A.) of Bennettsville and Debbie McCauley of Kernersville, NC; brother, Robert F. McCauley, Jr. of Bennettsville; 6 nieces, 2 nephews, 3 great-nephews and a great-niece; aunt Gertrude Quick of Bennettsville; sister-in-law, Sheila Elliott of Lexington and brother-in-law, Dan Elliott (Anita) of Sylvania, GA. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Palmetto Hospice Parkridge, 1400 Pickens Street, Columbia, SC 29201.
