COLUMBIA—Robert Earl Robertson, 90, went home to be with Jesus on February 9, 2017, after suffering congestive heart failure while at Palmetto Richland Hospital in Columbia, SC. He was born in Drumright, OK, son of the late Jesse Burt and Grace Robertson. He is survived by his sisters Anna Marie Roberts and Margaret (Robert) Love, pre-deceased by his older brother Jesse Burt Robertson, Jr. Robert and was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Dorothy Edna (Smith) Robertson and his son Kevin Dale Robertson of Eastover, SC. He is survived by sons, Steven (Karen) Robertson, Douglas (Suszan) Robertson, David (Christy) Robertson, daughter-in-law, Margaret Robertson; grandchildren, Kristy (Anthony) Quattrone, Grant Robertson, Shawn Robertson, Matthew (Lisa) Robertson, Holly Robertson, Amanda Robertson, Caitlin (Levi) Entz, Bret Robertson, Nathan (Lizz) Robertson; great-grandchildren, Cole Robertson, Arya Robertson, Charlotte Entz and Oliver Robertson. A veteran of the US Navy in WWII, he retired as a Special Agent in the FBI with 32 years of service. Never ready to quit, he became a Special Investigator with SC Dept. of Highways and Public Safety, retiring again in 1994. Feared and respected in the law enforcement community, he was deeply loved by his family for which he always found time to help.
