IRMO—The funeral service for Robert A. Bullock, Sr., 93, of Irmo, will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, September 26, 2019, in the chapel of Temples Halloran Funeral Home, 5400 Bush River Road, Columbia, SC 29212. Interment will follow in Bush River Memorial Gardens, 5400 Bush River Road, Columbia, SC 29212. The Reverend James Goudelock will officiate. The family will greet friends at 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service. Robert was born in Fayetteville, NC on October 13, 1925, to the late Will Bullock and Annie Overton Bullock. He passed away on Monday at Lexington Medical Center. He and his family formerly attended Colonial Heights Baptist Church. Robert proudly served his country in the US Army Air Corp from 1943-1946. During his service to his country, he was a WWII Veteran serving as a Flight Engineer and Top Turret Gunner on a consolidated B-24 Liberator. He was a practicing attorney in the Columbia area until he passed. Survivors include: wife; Dora J. Livingston Bullock of the home; sister: Grace Bullock; children include: Shirley Diane Bullock, Robert (Bobby) Bullock, Jr., (Cherie Ergle); Dennis Meador (Kitty), Ann Meador (Peter Isaac), Sandra Hollingsworth (Jon); grandchildren include: Candace Vachon Bullock (Calvin Martin), Anna Coomes (Austin); great-grandchild, Jonah Martin. Those who have preceded him in death besides his parents are one grandson, Robert A. Bullock, III. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
