Robert "Bob" Eugene Stallings

COLUMBIA—A memorial service for Robert “Bob” Eugene Stallings, 89 of Columbia, will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, September 17, 2018 at Ashland United Methodist Church, 2600 Ashland Road, Columbia, SC 29210 with the Rev. Tresco E. Shannon officiating. The burial at Bush River Memorial Gardens with military honors will be private. Bob, beloved husband of Beverly A. Cummings Stallings, passed away on Wednesday, September 12, 2018.Born in Owensboro, KY to the late Henry Steven Stallings and Claudie Weatherbee Stallings.He was a member of Ashland UMC and a proud Veteran of the US Army. He graduated from University of Kentucky as an Electrical Engineer and retired from NCR Columbia, SC in 1991. He loved golfing, fishing, boating and playing with his eight grandchildren. Surviving in addition to his wife of 31 years, Beverly; daughters, Ann Dennett (Terry), Susan Soltis (Mike), Shirley Stallings, son, Robert Steven Stallings (Celeste Cox, fiancé); from St. Petersburg, FL, step-daughters, Kimberly Kraft-Burton (Shuler) Monetta, SC, Karie Burroughs (Jamie) of Fort mill, SC, Kolleen Ulmer (Kevin) of Chapin, SC, and Kristine Solomon (J.D.) of Clayton, NC;grandchildren, Stephanie & Brittany Stallings, Lauren & Rachel Ulmer, Kelley & Kyle Solomon, Baily Magee, and Patrick Burroughs; sister-in-law, Wanda Ruth Stallings; along with niece, Teri Stallings Smith and nephew, Steven Wayne Stallings; and several grand-dogs. Those who preceded him in death beside his parents, his brother, Billy Steve Stallings. We wish to express our sincere gratitude to Dr. David Isbell, cardiologist; Dr. Prexa Naik, SPC; all the nurses and doctors at Palmetto Health Richland Hospital.
