COLUMBIA—Funeral services for Robert Edward Lee Bailey, 75, of Columbia, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 3, 2016 at Temples Halloran Funeral Home Chapel, 5400 Bush River Road, Columbia, SC 29212.Reverend Randall Bean will officiate.The family will greet friends from 1:00-2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.Entombment will follow in Bush River Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. Mr. Bailey, beloved husband of Elizabeth Faye Langford Bailey, passed away on Wednesday, November 30, 2016.Born in Danville, VA he was the son of the late Roy Lee Bailey and Ennice Brooks Bailey. Bob graduated from Marion High School in 1960 and attended DeVry University in Chicago, IL.He proudly served in the United States Marines during the Vietman era. Bob was a member of Union United Methodist Church for more then 35 years, the United Methodist Church Men, and served on several boards at the church.He retired from Bank of America as an officer, Bob was active in BAI Financial Banking Organization. He loved all kinds of sports and especially playing golf. Bob and Faye loved to travel and go on cruises. Bob volunteered with the Multiple Sclerosis Society. Surviving in addition to his wife of 40 years, Elizabeth Faye Bailey of Columbia; daughter, Michelle Bailey Cooper (Walton) of Winston-Salem, NC; son, Brett Edward Bailey of Tennessee; 3 grandchildren, Chandler Cooper, Teya Cooper and Jacob Bailey; brothers, Michael David Bailey (Kaye) of Smithfield, NC and Charles Allen Bailey (Elizabeth Ann) of Phoenix, AZ along with several nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Lexington Medical Center, 2720 Sunset Blvd., West Columbia, SC 29169 or Newberry Hospital Foundation, PO Box 497, Newberry, SC 29108 orNorth Shore Animal Hospital, 42-02 215th Street, Bayside, NY 11361 or the Union United Methodist Church, Memorial Fund, 7582 Woodrow Street, Irmo, SC 29063. The family would like to thank Tri-County Home Health and all their helpful staff that assisted Bob during his illness.
