Raymond Berry "Buzz" Twork,

COLUMBIA—Raymond B. Twork, Sr., known affectionately as “Buzz” went to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 7, 2017 after a long illness. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, May 13, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Fellowship Bible Church, 6108 Bush River Road, Columbia, SC 29212.A private burial will be held at a later date in Ft. Jackson National Cemetery with Military Honors. Mr. Twork, son of Ray and Polly, leaves his wife and childhood sweetheart, Michele G. (Shellie) Twork; children, Heather Michelle Gray; Raymond Berry Twork, Jr.; Jaime Chason; sister, Vickey McCown; brother, Mark Twork.He also has 5 grandchildren, Brantly, Audrey, Matthew, Lauren and Luke.Buzz was a graduate of A.C. Flora High School, USC and the Lutheran Seminary.He served during Vietnam War, was a Pastor in Sandy Run, SC and before his death a successful Business Regional Sales Manager.He was always known for his personable nature and smile.He was an active member of Fellowship Bible Church. The family asks in lieu of flowers to make contributions to Fellowship Bible Church or local animal and no kill shelters or the local Liver Foundation. A special thanks to Brookdale Assisted Living of Harbison, Dougal Kerr and the loving staff, his friends at Brookdale, especially Edward Walter and Abby Road Hospice.
