Raymond G. Townley

Raymond G. Townley November 25, 1947 – October 3, 2023 Raymond passed away on October 3, 2023, after a long struggle with dementia and other medical challenges. Ray was born in Elmira, New York, to the late Gerald Townley and Ruth Townley. He grew up in Elmira where he graduated high school in 1965. Ray eventually settled in the Syracuse, NY, area before he spent the last 13 years in South Carolina. Ray enjoyed the outdoors, especially deer hunting. He typically used most of his vacation days at the family hunting camp in the Finger Lakes region of central New York. Ray is survived by his son, Joel (Melanie) Townley of Columbia, SC and grandchildren, Alexander and Emily Townley, along with several cousins and friends. Ray is predeceased by his youngest son, Brett Townley, and a brother, David Townley.
