Priscilla "Pat" J. Erickson

Priscilla “Pat” J. Erickson, 90, of Raleigh, NC, formerly of Columbia, SC, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 22, 2024. Born in Jeannette, Pennsylvania on June 30, 1933, she was the daughter of the late H. Frank Johnston and Elodie Fink Johnston, and the devoted wife of the late John “Jack” W. Erickson for 61 years. She and Jack were long-time active members of Christus Victor Lutheran Church in Columbia, SC. After raising their three sons in Willowick, Ohio, Pat and Jack Erickson moved to Columbia in 1989 and lived there for over twenty years before moving to The Heritage at Lowman in Chapin. Mrs. Erickson enjoyed reading, knitting, volunteering in her church, relaxing at Myrtle Beach, and gathering with and hosting friends and family. In Ohio she also enjoyed spending time as a volunteer at the local hospital, and while living at The Heritage she volunteered at the community library. Mrs. Erickson is survived by her sons, Alan H. Erickson and his wife, Becky, Frederick J. Erickson and his wife Carolyn, and Kenneth W. Erickson and his wife, Sandra. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren, and five great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Jack, and her brothers David, Paul, Laird and Leonard Johnston. The funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 6, 2024, in the chapel at Temples-Halloran Funeral Home, 5400 Bush River Rd, Columbia, SC 29212. The Reverend Fred Suhr and the Reverend Michael Price will officiate. The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. – 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Entombment in Bush River Memorial Gardens Mausoleum will follow the service.
