Born Pondories´ Marchena Ellison-Currin on March 29, 1949, in Raleigh, NC (Wake County) to the late John Currin (1994) and Ruby Wiggins Nee Ellison (2017). Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ called Sister Pondories´ Edmunds to the truth at the age of 10 years old.Sister Pondories´ Edmunds, through the direction of God, The Holy Spirit, has been a Choir Director at Berean SDA in Charlotte, NC, a Sabbath School teacher and Superintendent all of which prepared her for Eldership at Ephesus SDA Church in 1997.Where the Lord showed favor and blessed her to become the 1st Woman Elder at Ephesus SDA, to the Glory of God! Elder Edmunds loved The Lord and enjoyed serving Him in the service of others.Elder Edmunds enjoyed lifting her voice for the Glory of God in singing with the Ephesus and Bell Canto Choirs. Elder Edmunds was a business representative for Bell South 25 years before being medically retired.Although faced with difficult health challenges for many years she always remembered to give the Glory to God for each day He had given her. Elder Edmunds had a loving and doting husband, Brother Douglas Edmunds of Ridgeway, SC; a loving daughter, Ramona Johnson (Morris) of Acworth, Georgia.Elder Edmunds has 2 sisters and a brother of North Carolina; along with a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.Although Elder Edmunds had only one daughter The Lord blessed her with Spiritual children and grandchildren.Thank you for our loving Church Family and Prayer Warriors during our most difficult time in learning to adjust our lives without Our Wonderful mother, wife and prayer warrior. A private crypt side service will be held at Bush River Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.A Memorial Service will be held at a later date in Ephesus Seventh-day Adventist Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Ephesus SDA Church, 7709 Wilson Blvd., Columbia, SC 29203.
