Patricia "Trish" Rice Thomas

COLUMBIA—Funeral services for Patricia “Trish” R. Thomas, 71, of Columbia, will be held at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at the Chapel of Temples Halloran Funeral Home, 5400 Bush River Road, Columbia, SC 29212 with The Reverend Dr. Gene Rowell officiating. Burial will follow in Bush River Memorial Gardens.The family will greet friends from 2:00-3:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Trish beloved wife of46 years to the late Alvine “Tom” Thomas, Sr., passed away on Monday, February 19, 2018.Born in Asheville, NC she was the daughter of the late Charlie H. and Margaret Buckner Rice.Trish was raised in North Augusta, SC and was a member of Gantt Street Baptist Church.She retired after 30 plus years from Wells Fargo. Surviving are her daughter, Melissa Lee Thomas (Ken) of Columbia; son, Alvin B. Thomas, Jr. (Lisa) of Indian Land; four grandchildren, Steven E. Thomas, Brandon H. Thomas, Chad A. Thomas and Dustin L. Thomas; brother, Vic Rice (Linda) of Jackson; many brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law along with nieces and nephews. Trish was preceded in death by her husband, Tom; parents, Charlie and Margaret Rice and her sister, Judy R. Temples. A special thank you to her “second daughter” and caregiver, Keilah Hayes.
