Patricia J. Fobare

A memorial service for Patricia J. Fobare, 67, will be held on Friday, August 19, 2022 at 12:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Temples Halloran Funeral Home, 5400 Bush River Rd, Columbia, South Carolina, 29212. Deacon Tom Souza of Our Lady of the Hills Catholic Church will officiate. The inurnment will follow in the Columbarium at Bush River Memorial Gardens, 5400 Bush River Rd, Columbia, South Carolina, 29212. The Fobare family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. prior to the service. Patricia was born on September 1, 1954, in Utica, New York and departed this earthly home on August 8, 2022, surrounded by her family. She was the daughter of the late Earl Flint and Catherine Holland Flint. Patricia formerly attended Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church as well as the Basilica of St. Peter in Columbia. She enjoyed a glass of wine on her deck at Lake Murray along with gardening and bird watching. Patricia also enjoyed her years of watching large ships on the St. Lawrence River during the years her family lived in New York. She was known as the storyteller of her clan. Patricia always placed “family” as the priority in her life. Survivors include: loving husband of 38 years, Francis C. “Chuck” Fobare, Jr. of the home; daughter, Rachel Fobare of Chapin; sisters, Mary Shelton (Ed) of Orlando, Florida and Cathi Warzala (Gary) of Westfield, Indiana; brother, Earl Flint (Eileen) of Midlothian, Virginia; sister-in-law, Barbara O’Connor of New Hartford, New York; brothers-in-law, Robert Fobare of Whitesboro, New York and Donald Fobare of New York Mills, New York. She also leaves behind nine nieces and nephews, ten great nieces and nephews and one great-great niece. Patricia was preceded in death by her late parents. The family would like to thank MSA Hospice (Newberry, South Carolina) for their love and attention during this difficult time.
