COLUMBIA—A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Patricia Mills Everhart, 80, of Columbia, at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 13, 2015 at Our Lady of the Hills Catholic Church, 120 Marydale Lane, Columbia, SC 29210. The Reverend David R. Whitman will officiate. The entombment will follow in the Bush River Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.The family will receive friends on Friday, June 12, 2015 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at Temples Halloran Funeral Home, 5400 Bush River Road, Columbia, SC 29212. Born in Brookline, Mass., she was the daughter of the late Robert Mills and Mary Sweeney Mills. Patricia was raised in the Reading, PA area, Patricia formerly served as secretary to the Civilian Personal Officer at Lackland Air Force Base. She has been a resident of Columbia since 1964 and was one of the founding members of Our Lady of the Hills Catholic Church. Patricia and her family were very active and served as volunteers for the Multiple Sclerosis Events in this area. Patricia did a spectacular job raising her 3 children, while her husband Dan traveled in the furniture industry. Surviving are her loving husband Dan of 59½ years; daughter, Michelle McDowell (Neil) of Irmo; son, Bradley Everhart (Kay) of Irmo; daughter-in-law, Stephanie Zobay of Washington, DC; grandchildren, Lindsay, Daniel and Clayton Everhart, Anna Marie McDowell, Hannah Everhart, Carly McDowell and Cooper Everhart. The family would like to personally thank Linda Faye Ahlers for her loving friendship and caretaking of Patricia. The Everhart family would also like to thank Dr. Mark Mason, Palmetto Pulmonary and staff, Dr. James Wells, Lexington Oncology and staff, Dr. Josh Lawson, Lexington Radiation Oncology and staff and Dr. Johnny Smith, Lexington Family Practice, Irmo and staff, for the expert care and attention.
