Patricia A. Burr

Columbia, SC – Patricia (Patti) Donnelly Burr, 71, passed away in her sleep at home on Monday, February 3, 2025.

A celebration of her life will be held at 12:00 PM on Saturday, February 15, 2025, at Don’t Get it Twisted Restaurant (Located inside Sands Beach Club Resort) 9466 Shore Drive Myrtle Beach, SC 29572. The family will receive friends immediately following until 3:00 PM.

Born on July 29, 1953, in Queens, New York, Patti was the daughter of Frederick and Ann Donnelly. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, doting grandmother, and a dear friend to many.

Her family was the center of her world, and nothing brought her more joy than her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who lovingly referred to her as “Mimi”. Whether she was facetiming, sharing stories, or simply spoiling them as only a grandmother can, she embraced every moment with love and laughter.

Patti had a deep love of cruising and the beach, where she found peace in the rhythm of the waves and the pages of a good book. Her happiest days were spent with her toes in the sand, a novel in hand, and the sun on her face. She also had an uncanny ability to remember birthdays, anniversaries, and every small but meaningful detail about those she loved.

She is survived by her devoted husband of 43 years, Marty Burr; her beloved children: Tom Pruno and his wife Kim, Terry Burr, and Melissa Blackmon and her husband Matt; her cherished ten grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; as well as many other relatives and dear friends who will miss her deeply.

Her love, laughter, and quick wit will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
