CHAPIN—Funeral service for Owen Michael Jackson, 15, of Chapin will be held at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 23, 2015 at River Springs Church, 1007 West Shady Grove Road, Irmo, SC 29063.The Reverend Tim Shull will officiate.Pallbearers will be the Student Ministry from River Springs Church. Entombment will follow in Woodridge Memorial Park Mausoleum, 138 Corley Mill Road, Lexington, SC 29072.The family will greet friends from 2:00-3:00 p.m. prior to the service at the church. Owen, beloved son of Ricky Wayne Jackson, Sr. and Marcelina Tejada DeLaCruz Jackson passed away on Wednesday, June 17, 2015, born in San Jose, CA on May 9, 2000.He was a member of River Springs Church and served on the Snackpack Ministry and a ministry that provided Food for the Homeless. He was also a member of the Student Ministry at the church and loved helping to clean the church.He was a rising sophomore at Chapin High School, where he was training on the track team.He is one of seven children and one of a set of quadruplets. Surviving are his parents; brothers, Ricky Wayne Jackson, Jr.of Hammond, IN, Christopher Lee Jackson, Chicago, IL, Michael Alexander Edward Jackson of Chicago, IL, Vance Jose Jackson, Chapin and Edgar Lamonte Jackson of Chapin; sister, Lachelle Yvonne Jackson, of Chapin; maternal grandmother, Diga Tejada DeLaCruz; maternal aunt, Raquel Diaz; paternal uncle, Theodore Roosevelt Jackson III; paternal aunts, Dinah Vaughn, Linda Solomon; Kathy Williams and Carolyn Williams.
