Olive Elneita Baggott

Olive Elneita Baggott, 84, of Elgin, passed away on Wednesday, February 14, 2024. She was the widow of Lewis A. Baggott and the daughter of Gabe Samuel and Lillian Lowry Bradshaw. Olive was born in Columbia on February 28, 1939. She was raised in the Irmo area and graduated from Irmo High School. After high school, she earned an associate degree. She worked as secretary for Pearce-Young-Angel (PYA) for 30 years. She was a member of Belmont Baptist Church. Besides her husband of 32 years and her parents, Olive was preceded in death by her daughter-in-law, Linda Young Baggott; her twin sister, Oneita Lindler; sisters, Carolyn Cooper, Glenel King, and Wynona Visconti; and her brother, Billy Bradshaw. Olive is survived by her sons, Anthony Todd Baggott and Christopher “Chris” Baggott, and her daughter-in-law, Elizabeth Baggott. She is also survived by her granddaughter, Lillian Elizabeth Baggott, and her sister and brother-in-law, Kathy and Robert Baker. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 20, 2024, in the chapel at Temples-Halloran Funeral Home. The Reverend Paul Allen will officiate. Burial in Bush River Memorial Gardens will follow the service. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service.
