Olga Bartko Mealy, born October 12, 1920, in Robbinsville, New Jersey, passed away March 9, 2021, at the age of 100 at Generations Senior Care of Batesburg, SC.She was the daughter of the late Peter Bartko and Krystyna Hawrylczak both of Robbinsville. NJ. Olga was preceded in death by her late husband, John Mealy of Hamilton Square, NJ. And her cherished dog, Precious, and cat, Lucky. She had no children. Olga was a retired comptroller with AT&T. She always jumped at the opportunity to grab her visor and take her sweet Precious for a walk or to take a car ride, enjoying the many blooming trees and flowers.She shared stories of witnessing the Hindenburg Airship fire which occurred at 6:25 p.m. EST on May 6, 1937, as it approached Lakehurst Naval Stations in N.J. Stories of numerous Wars and how she was one of the first to train on a computer at her job and was then able to train others. Olga enjoyed watching golf on tv and had a love for the outdoors. Her favorite was going to the ball field to support her niece, Coach Joyce Compton, and the USC Women’s Softball Team. She will be remembered with great love by her three nieces, Joyce Compton of Lexington, SC, Georgetta Preg of Peshtigo, Wisconsin, and Jeanette Lookadoo of Cheyenne, Wyoming, and several cousins and friends. The family would like to thank from the bottom of our hearts the kind and generous staff at Generations Senior Care of Batesburg for their excellent and compassionate care. As well as, All Seasons Hospice. The kindness and love you all showed Olga will not be forgotten. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 17, 2021. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated at St. Vladimir's Russian Orthodox Church, Trenton, NJ at 10:30.Interment will be in the parish cemetery.
