Norma Louise Dennis Spangler entered eternal life on Tuesday, November 24, 2020.She was born November 6, 1931, in Hemingway SC to the late Fred and Clyda Mae Tanner Dennis. Norma began her Cosmetology career at Belk in downtown Columbia.She and Chuck met on a blind date in the late summer of 1953 and were married on February 7, 1954. They were active with ASA Softball and traveled extensively, collecting coffee cups from all over the world.She was a Charter Member of St. Andrews Baptist Church.Norma was well known for her extraordinary gardening ability which she shared with family church and friends. She was known for her servant's heart, always helping and caring for others.She was kind and gentle, yet strong and resilient.She will be greatly missed by her family friends and especially her husband of almost 67 years. She is survived by her daughter, Pam S. Zemp (John); sons, Ched Spangler (Debbie) and Rion (Darlene); 11 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren; brothers, Ed Dennis (Betty-deceased), Don Dennis (Patsy- deceased), Freddy Dennis (Linda), and Mike Dennis (Sharon); and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews whom she loved dearly.She was predeceased by her parents, Fred and Clyda Mae Dennis, and her youngest child, Gary Joseph.
