Norma Bouknight Evans, 88, of Irmo, went home to rest with her personal Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Wednesday, November 9, 2022. Norma was born on January 23, 1934, in Irmo SC to John and Ellen Bouknight. She grew up the youngest of seven children, and in the fall of 1952 married the love of her life, Judd Evans. Norma was a gifted cook, gardener, seamstress, and an avid prayer warrior. She never missed a Clemson Tiger football game and loved any opportunity to play one of her favorite games; Pollyanna, Dominoes, or Canasta. Above all, Norma adored spending time with her family and loved ones. Norma is survived by her five children, John “Randy” Evans (Margaret), Steven Evans (Stephanie), Donna Derrick (Harvey), David Evans (Rhonda), and Lisa Epting (Benjy); sister, Norene Drafts (John); 8 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Judge “Judd” Randolph Evans, grandson Andrew Evans; brothers, Quincy Bouknight, J.C Bouknight, Heyward Bouknight, Delois “Peck” Bouknight; sister, Matharie “Mockey” Haselden, and beloved dog Spike. Norma’s funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 15, 2022, at the Chapel of Temples Halloran Funeral Home. Pastor Keith Kneeshaw will officiate. Honorary pallbearers will be Buddy Bouknight, Dwight Bouknight and John Delois "Boogie" Bouknight. Active pallbearers will be Todd Bouknight, Lawrence Haselden, Terry Bouknight, Jodie Bouknight, Chad Bouknight, and Doug Bouknight. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting memorials be made to Grace Point Presbyterian Church of Irmo, 11241 Broad River Rd, Irmo, SC 29063, or to a charity of their choice.
