COLUMBIA—Noredda Prise Blevins 79, died January 18, 2017 at her residence.Born in Portsmouth, Ohio on April 2, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Goebel Prise and Idema Wolfenbarger Prise. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Raymond Prise. Survivors include her beloved husband of 60 years, Harold R. Blevins of the home; sisters, Dorothy Ramsey of South Webster, Ohio and Connie Cunningham of Wheelersburg, Ohio; son-in-law, Wyman “Scooter” Keisler of Gilbert, SC. Noredda was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church of Irmo. Where she was an active study school member, helped with the Senior Adult Ministry and also with the Women’s Missionary Union. Noredda worked as a bookkeeper in the family businesses for many years alongside her husband, Harold.Those businesses included Burger Chef Restaurants in several South Carolina Cities as well as The Cookie Store and The Peanut Shack in the Outlet Pointe Mall which was located on Bush River Road. The memorial service to Celebrate the Life of Noredda P. Blevins will be held on Friday, January 27, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Temples Halloran Funeral Home, 5400 Bush River Road, Columbia, SC 29212.The Reverend Dr. Clark McCrary III will officiate.The Blevins Family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home.
