Nell I. Brazell

COLUMBIA—On Friday, October 23, 2015 Nell I. Brazell, 86, passed away peacefully with her family by her side.She was born in Columbia on January 28, 1929 to the late Clayton J. and Annie Lou Huffstetler Meetze. Nell was a long time member of St. Andrews Lutheran Church, where she taught Sunday School and was a Boy Scout Den Mother for many years.Being a devoted servant to God, she was also a devoted wife of 54 years, a caring mother and homemaker who enjoyed cooking.She also did all types of needlework and always willing to help anyone in need. Nell is predeceased by her husband, Woodrow Brazell and three brothers. Surviving are her 5 children, Cynthia B. Epps (Sonny) of Chapin, Stanley Brazell of Hopkins, Eddie Brazell (Dianne) of Chapin, Barry Brazell of Columbia and Darrell Brazell (Stephanie) of Lugoff; 9 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren along with a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 28, 2015 at Temples Halloran Funeral Home Chapel, 5400 Bush River Road, Columbia, SC 29212, with Pastor John C. Trump officiating. Burial will follow in St. Andrews Lutheran Church Cemetery, 1416 Broad River Road, Columbia, SC 29210.The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. – 3 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
