Nancy A. Workman

Nancy A. Workman, 84, of Columbia, South Carolina, was called home to God on August 9, 2023, surrounded by her family. A Celebration of Life will be at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, August 14, 2023, at Temples-Halloran Funeral Home (5400 Bush River Road, Columbia, SC 29212), with the Reverend Bill Haselden officiating. Interment will follow the service in Bush River Memorial Gardens. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Nancy and her beloved husband and best friend, Bill, who survives her, were married for sixty-five wonderful years. She is also survived by her daughter, Cathy Clawson; son Bill, Jr. “Bucky” (Joleen); and the loves of her life, her grandchildren Austin, Katie, and Meghan. In addition to spending time with her grandchildren, Nancy enjoyed playing competitive bridge, shagging and listening to beach music, spontaneous trips to the beach, and dining at her favorite restaurant, The Villa. She was a member of Riverland Hills Baptist Church and the Koinonia Sunday School class. Nancy was born in Alta Vista, Virginia, to the late Parker C. Aron and Elizabeth T. Aron. She graduated from Columbia High School and attended the University of South Carolina. She worked in the insurance business for over 20 years. The family would like to thank the Koinonia Sunday School class for their unwavering love and support of Mom during her declining health. Lexington Extended Care/MSA Hospice provided heartfelt support for Mom in her last few weeks, keeping her comfortable and free from pain. A warm thank you is also extended to the neighbors and friends who checked on her and helped with daily living activities.
