Nancy E. Huggins

Nancy Enzor Huggins, 81, of Chapin, SC, passed away peacefully at home with her beloved husband of 57 years, Bill Huggins, at her side on October 9th, 2023. She was born October 2, 1942, to John and Annie Enzor in Lumberton, NC. Nancy, a most loving and devoted wife, mother, and “Nana” is survived by her husband Bill, daughter-in-law, Debbie Huggins; grandchildren, Isabella and Sophia; sister, Betty Bailey; brother Larry Enzor; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her three children, Billy M., Jr., Nancy Caroline, and James “Steve” Huggins. When Bill and Nancy were first married, she attended Cosmetology School and then opened her own shop. From there she retired from Belks in Florence, where she was a model and the top seller in fragrance. Being one of the top sellers, she had the opportunity to lunch with Elizabeth Taylor and Paloma Picasso when they launched their fragrance lines. Nancy also worked for her son, Steve, at the Huggins Law Firm for many years. Nancy was a member of Chapin Baptist Church where she sang in the choir. She enjoyed sewing, motorcycle riding (both Nancy and Bill were members of the Gold Wing Road Riders), and baking sweet desserts, cakes, and cookies, including her own “Nana’s Surprise,” which was a favorite of her granddaughters. Her family is comforted that she is home with the Lord, pain free. Please remember Nancy as she would want to be remembered, with so many fun stories that celebrate her good and blessed life. The family will be receiving visitors on October 13th at 10:00 a.m. at Temples-Halloran Funeral Home located at 5400 Bush River Road, Columbia, SC 29212, with the service immediately after at 11:00 a.m. Entombment will follow the service in Bush River Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.
