Sergeant Monica J. Randall IRMO--Monica Randall joined the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department as a Correctional Officer, assigned to the agency’s detention center, on March 8, 2010. While serving with the Sheriff’s Department, Randall was later promoted to the positions of Field Training Officer, in August 2012; Master Correctional Officer, in September 2013; and Sergeant in April 2015. While employed with the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department, Sergeant Randall was a four-time recipient of the agency’s Special Achievement Award. She was also a recipient of the agency’s Veteran’s Combat Ribbon in recognition of her seven years of honorable service in the United States Navy prior to joining the Sheriff’s Department. Sergeant Randall also received the Educational Achievement Award for completing a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Systems from Strayer University while serving with the Sheriff’s Department in 2011. Monica Jane Randall was born on October 4, 1972 in Tomahawk, Wisconsin. A Memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, August 12, 2016 at Temples Halloran Funeral Home Chapel, 5400 Bush River Road, Columbia, SC 29212.The family will greet friends following the service.
