Michael Edward McGuire, a long-time resident of West Columbia, South Carolina, died on July 28, 2021. Michael was born in Columbia, South Carolina.Michael was predeceased by his parents, Daniel G. McGuire and Margaret B. McGuire, of West Columbia, South Carolina.Michael is survived by his siblings, Gloria (McGuire) and Darby Erd, of West Columbia, S.C., Patrick R. and Teresa B. McGuire of Lexington, S.C., John and Laura McGuire Costello, of Indianapolis, IN; his nephews, Robert Erd of North Augusta, S.C., Grant and Andrea Erd of West Columbia, S.C., and Daniel Costello of Indianapolis, IN. Michael was a graduate of Airport High School, Midlands Technical College, and the University of South Carolina.He was a long-time employee of Blue Cross & Blue Shield.Michael was a member of Brookland Methodist Church in West Columbia.Per Michael’s wishes, there will be no funeral services.
