Michael Joseph Lang

Michael Joseph Lang, born January 4, 1941, passed away March 6, 2021, in Newberry, SC.He was born in Newark, NJ the son of the late Julius and Teresa (Norton) Lang.Michael attended Seton Hall Prep HS and graduated from Montclair State University.His work career as an IT professional led him to numerous locations in the United States and abroad.In retirement, he served in career services ministry at Transfiguration Catholic Church and enjoyed his work as a member of the Knights of Columbus, Marietta, Ga.Michael was a sports fan who loved Notre Dame football and Atlanta Braves baseball. Michael is predeceased by his wife, Lois Theresa Samartin Lang, and daughter, Jan Lang.He is survived by his children, Michael Lang, Jr., (Teresa), John Lang, Lisa Emerson (David), Mark Lang (Sunday), Vincent Lang, and Tracey MacJack (Chad). Michael is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and a sister, Mary Ellen Lang. Funeral service for Michael Joseph Lang, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, June 12, 2021 at The Catholic Church of the Transfiguration, 1815 Blackwell Road, Marietta, GA.
