Michael G. "Mike" Bernhagen

Michael G. “Mike” Bernhagen passed away on Monday, January 3, 2022, due to an alcohol-related illness.He was born on December 5, 1962, at Fort Clayton in the Republic of Panama.Mike worked and lived in Columbia and Cayce for over 40 years.He loved sports, having played and coached baseball, and was also an avid fan of the Clemson Tigers and Miami Dolphins. Mike is survived by his wife of nearly 39 years, Misty Bernhagen; son, Mikey Bernhagen; grandson, Braylen Bernhagen; mother, Maria C. Bernhagen; sister, Debbie Bernhagen; brother, Fred Bernhagen (Tina); and many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.He was preceded in death by his father, Bernie Bernhagen. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of the Hills Catholic Church, 120 Marydale Lane, Columbia, SC 29210, 12:30 p.m., Saturday, January 15, 2022.They will greet friends after the service in the Narthex of the Church.
